New SWATH From ACMA

Alan C. McClure Associates (ACMA) has completed the design development of a new SWATH (Small Waterplane Area, Twin Hull) vessel that will be completed with a variety of operations options. The proposed vessel will be 92 ft. (28 m) with a beam of 47 ft.

 

Battleship New Jersey Is Recommissioned

The battleship New Jersey (BB-62) was recommissioned recently at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Long Beach, Calif. President Ronald Reagan was the commissioning speaker. The New Jersey's recommissioning marks the fourth time the ship has become part of the active fleet.
